Research & Surveying
CIDS has an extensive and unmatched background in conducting research and surveys at the ground level. We have expertise in regulatory impact assessment, household surveys, risk assessments, business surveys, public opinion polls, sample survey, monitoring & evaluation, tracking surveys, value chain analysis, and indicatoring. From 2006-2009, we carried out over 20 surveys, covering over 17 provinces and encompassing multiple sectors such as agro-processing, garment, and financial services.
Modeling & Indexing
With our academic-rigorously trained senior experts, we can conceptualize issues and develop realistic forecasting models. We have models to forecast economic growth, infrastructure impact, investment impact, industrial transformation, trade liberalization and others. In addition, we are experienced in constructing composite indexes to measure dynamic and complex issues.
Data Analysis:
Our Database Unit is skilled in data entry and processing with various programs including SPSS, Excel and Access as well as empirical analysis using econometrics.
Training
We regularly provide training to professionals, students, government officals, trade unions, businesspeople and all people interested in learning about economics. Courses are designed specifically for people who want to improve their basic knowledge on economic analysis and understand the current and future economic situation. The knowledge gained from these courses helps participants navigate the operation and growth of their profession and business. We also offer customized training programs for businesses who want to provide training exclusively for their staff.
